Expert Members are accepted based on their individual profile, in particular their demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience/association with Twentieth-Century heritage.

Associate Members: ICOMOS Members interested in gaining knowledge and building up expertise in areas relevant to the objectives of the Committee may apply for Associate Membership, either upon personal application or proposal by the National Committee to which they belong.

a. Climate Change and Emergency Responses: Engaging ISC20C issues with climate change initiatives and training

b. Sustainable Development Goals: Initiatives to engage the role of 20C heritage within the SDGs

c. Our Common Dignity: Rights-Based Approach to Heritage Management Engagement

d. Heritage Practice Survey 20(HPS20): 2024 update of the MAP20(Montreal Action Plan) survey aimed to analyse C20 practice changes over the last twenty years. The results of HPS20 will inform ISC20C action planning ahead.

e. World Heritage Advice: Advice within ICOMOS and external forums and groups about C20 World Heritage nominations and management via policy development, nomination reviews and state of conservation reporting.

f. Twentieth Century Thematic History Framework: developed by ISC20C in collaboration with the Getty Conservation Institute for the identification of potentially significant properties

g. Education and Training: A range of education and training initiatives, including YouTube, webinars, etc.

h. Emerging Professionals Program: Encourages and enables intergenerational transfer of knowledge, actively involving Emerging Professionals (EPs) in all ISC20C initiatives.

i. National Scientific Committee support and engagement. 11 NSC20C committees operate currently

j. Heritage Alerts: Extends support to conserve or protect 20th Century Heritage properties under threat

k. Twentieth Century Heritage Special projects: Currently include Socialist Heritage, dissonant heritage.

i. Communications: ISC20C Communications strategy implements: Annual General Meeting and Symposia; Website updates and social media activities promoting ISC20C work as a forum for discussion and exchange of information and conservation initiatives, including via Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. Currently developing a photobank.

m. Translation: Collaboration in organising, revising and/or developing translations needed to implement multilingualism for all ISC20C activities.
