

Kaleigh Sawyer is a preservationist and architectural designer at Cooper Carry in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a leader of the firm’s efforts in preservation and rehabilitation, with a belief in the importance of connecting future generations to the stories inherent to historic places. Kaleigh is dedicated to the retention of 20th century buildings connected to historic minority communities in the Southeastern US, promoting rehabilitation as a means of sustainable and equitable community growth. Her experience encompasses preservation, restoration and rehabilitation projects on all scales with condition assessments and basic architectural services. She received her Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Kaleigh has been an Emerging Professional and Associate member of the ISC20C since 2021, leading the committee’s efforts with the new website and social media outreach.
