Kaleigh Sawyer is an architect at Houser Walker Architecture in Atlanta, Georgia where she specializes in preservation architecture and design. Her professional experience has focused on rehabilitation, restoration and preservation and she is dedicated to the retention of existing buildings as a means of creating sustainable and equitable places. Her experience encompasses preservation design at various scales and scopes from conducting condition assessments, authoring historic structure reports, preservation planning to architectural basic services. Her passion for thoughtful contextual design and knowledge of preservation treatments, delivers meaningful projects to clients and local communities. Kaleigh holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, with High Honor. She is a Registered Architect in the State of Georgia and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registrations Board (NCARB). Kaleigh has been an Emerging Professional and Associate Member of the ISC20C since 2021, leading the committee’s efforts with the new website and social media outreach. She has served as the coordinator of the ISC20C Emerging Professionals and lead the development of the ISC20C Emerging Professional White Paper as the primary author.
